I’m Janelle - a family and newborn photographer serving Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Southern Ontario. I create warm, natural portraits and heirloom artwork that feel honest, emotional, and deeply connected to the people you love most.
My studio in Forest Heights, Kitchener is a calm, welcoming space where families can slow down, breathe, and be photographed in a way that feels effortless and real.
How It All Started
Before photography, I worked in broadcasting, learning how to tell stories that make people feel something. Everything changed when I became a mom - suddenly the tiny moments mattered more than anything. I picked up a camera to remember them, and I never put it down.
Why Family Matters to Me
I photograph families because I am one and I know how quickly everything changes. The laughter, the quiet moments, the way your babies fit perfectly in your arms right now… these are the details worth preserving. My work is soft, natural, connected, and rooted in emotion.
